Rhytidectomy
Facelift
A person's face is usually noticed first and often displays the most significant signs of aging. Facelift surgery rejuvenates your appearance leading to a beautiful, young, and vibrant face.
What is a facelift?
A facelift, also called rhytidectomy, is a cosmetic surgical procedure that helps improve visible
signs of aging in the face and neck.
The Procedure
A procedure performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia.
During the procedure a deep plane facelift is done where the SMAS is lifted vertically, muscles are tightened in the face and neck, and the skin excess removed.
The fat in the face and neck is either sculpted, removed or redistributed. After that, we re-drape the facial skin over the new contours of the face. We stitch the wound in a discrete incision along the anterior ear crease and behind the ears.
The procedure can take 3 to 4 hours.
