  • Treatment Day: Arrive with completely clean skin—no makeup, lotions, perfumes, or oils on the target area.

General — In-Treatment Care

  • Numbing: A topical anesthetic cream is applied 30–45 minutes before the procedure for maximum comfort.
  • Cooling: Advanced cooling technology and soothing gels are used throughout to protect the skin.
  • Safety: Both you and the clinical team will wear protective eyewear during the session.

General — Post-Treatment Care

  • Immediate Feel: Expect a intense “sunburn” sensation, redness, and swelling. Heat peaks in 2–4 hours; swelling subsides in 2–3 days. Use wrapped ice packs to soothe.
  • The Healing Grid: Over 3–7 days, skin will feel rough and look “bronzed” before naturally flaking off. Do not pick, scratch, or scrub the skin.
  • Sun Protection: Healing skin is highly vulnerable. Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily and avoid direct sun exposure.
  • Hygiene & Makeup: Wash gently with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser after 24 hours (pat dry). Avoid hot showers, saunas, and makeup for 48–72 hours until the skin barrier closes.
  • Complications: Pinpoint bleeding or tiny blisters are rare but possible. Do not pick scabs; apply healing ointment twice daily. Call the clinic immediately with any concerns.

Facial / Peeling — instructions to follow after treatment

Don’t overexpose to sun, harsh environments or pollutants; no waxing/hair removal 1 week before and up to 1 week after; wash face with cool water; apply SPF 50+; avoid strenuous workouts, dry saunas and steam rooms; keep skin moisturized; drink plenty of water.

Morpheus 8 — instructions to follow after treatment

Stop exfoliating/irritating skin products 5 days before and 5–7 days after

Avoid excessive sun for at least 1 week

No make-up for 2–3 days; use high-factor sunscreen (SPF 50)-  start moisturizer 4 days after

Facials/skin treatments and injections (Botox, fillers, …) can resume 2 weeks after and should stop 2 weeks prior

Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 24 hours post-treatment

Avoid anti-inflammatory pills preferably 7 days before and after.

General Instructions

  1. After your procedure, you may need to stay in the treatment room for 10–15 minutes.
  2. On the day of surgery, limit your activity; consult your physician about returning to work and normal activities.
  3. The physician will provide a prescription of medications to take accordingly.
  4. Avoid sports and strenuous activities for 4 to 6 weeks to avoid complications (bleeding, damage to wounds, etc.).
  5. You may have a light meal if not nauseated after a specific time post-surgery.
  6. A nutritious high-calorie diet helps speed recovery; stay hydrated.
  7. A dressing-covered incision may be removed the day after surgery but kept clean and dry. Report drainage, foul odor, or fever. Discuss bathing with your doctor.
  8. Minimize sun exposure to avoid damage to skin or scar tissue.
  9. Sleep with head elevated above heart level for 3 weeks to decrease soreness, bruising and swelling.
  10. Ice packs may be used for the first 24–48 hours (dry cloth under the ice bag to prevent tissue damage). No ice for facelifts.
  11. Do not bend or lift objects greater than 2 kg.
  12. Avoid applying hot water or direct high water pressure to the surgical area.
  13. Suture removal appointment is 6 to 9 days after surgery.
  14. Follow-up consultation within 2–6 weeks of surgery.

(Additional hospital-specific requirements are communicated by hospital administration.)

  1. You will sign a Consent for Surgery form; ask your physician any questions.
  2. Ensure pre-anesthesia consultation (PAC) and PCR test were completed 2–3 days prior (if surgery is in hospital).
  3. No food for 8 hours or liquids for 6 hours before surgery (including water, mints, gum, hard candy, etc.).
  4. 24 hours before: eliminate all alcohol, stop smoking, refrain from illegal drugs.
  5. No makeup, contact lenses, dentures, or nail polish on the day of the procedure.
  6. For hospital surgeries: the night before, shower/bath with a Chlorhexidine scrub focusing on the operative area; repeat the morning of surgery.
  7. Notify of any change in condition (cold, fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, illness).
  8. Leave valuables and jewelry at home.
  9. Avoid nsaids retinol and  omega-3/fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo, garlic supplements, ginseng, turmeric/curcumin, ginger supplements, and high-dose herbal products before 2 weeks of the surgery in order to avoid higher risk of bleeding

  10. Avoid OTC pain medication (except acetaminophen/paracetamol) for five days prior.
  11. Most medicines can be taken with a sip of water; ask your surgeon about diuretics and blood thinners.
  12. Wear comfortable clothing.
  13. A family member must drive you home and monitor you on the day of surgery.

Blepharoplasty

Light sports after 2 weeks; heavy sports after 4 weeks. Light walking 3 days after; aerobic exercise, weight training, heavy lifting gradually a month after.

Tension on the suture line (to avoid bad scarring); sun exposure, sun lamps, tanning beds for six weeks; extreme physical activity including athletics and intercourse. Wear SPF 30+ (staff wear SPF 50 daily).

Face makeup immediately, but no eye makeup for 1 month (eyes will be sensitive).

Yes, without rubbing or causing tension on suture lines.

Usually removed 7 days after surgery.

Eyelid may be swollen/bruised 1–2 weeks; final result one month after.

Rhinoplasty

Q How long does nose job take to heal?

Starting the first month, the shape of the nose starts to be evident. The final shape is seen 6-12 months after.

Apply ice on the forehead and cheeks during the first 48 hours while avoiding any pressure on your nose.

  • Avoid wearing thin eyeglasses for at least 3 months  post- op and thick eyeglasses for at least 6 months post-op.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure for at least 1 month.

  • Avoid sneezing during the first week
  • Light eye and sunglasses are not allowed during the first month postoperatively

Generally 1–2 hours.

If nasal breathing is affected, a hyponasal voice can occur, hence the importance of a good functional and esthetic result.

Facelift Instructions

  • Stop smoking 1 week prior and 1 month after for better healing.

  • Wear compression garment 24/7 for 2 weeks, then 30 days at night only.
  • Avoid excessive sun on the face ~3 months; stay out of heat up to 6 weeks; wear SPF daily.
  • Wash hair with lukewarm water 2 days after suture removal.
  • Avoid hitting/bumping face, head and neck.
  • Follow-up 3 days after surgery; Suture removal 6-7 days after.
  • Report severe pain/swelling, especially if greater on one side.
  • Makeup 7 days after surgery (not on incisions); on incisions 3–4 days after sutures removed.
  • Take only prescribed medications (pain medication and antibiotic provided).
  • You may wash your face but keep the dressing dry.
  • Iced pads to eyes and cheeks first 48 hours.
  • Brush teeth gently with a soft toothbrush; avoid manipulating upper lip/cheeks; you may have difficulty opening your mouth or turning your head.
  • Avoid food requiring prolonged chewing for 2 weeks.

Otoplasty

Q How soon will you see ear surgery results?

Visible directly after; final result 1 month after.

Depends on the antibiotic in week one; generally a glass every other day.
